PETE ON HOLIDAY

Pete at the Sebensee

'Pete on a Dolphin'

'There's a tale that they tell of a dolphin
And a boy made of gold.
With the shells and the pearls in the deep,
He has lain many years fast asleep;
What they tell of the Boy on A Dolphin,
Who can say if it's true.
Should he rise from the depths of the ocean,
Any wish that you wish will come true.'

'Pete as Puck'

MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM
ACT V Scene I

'If we shadows have offended,
Think but this and all is mended:
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend.
If you pardon, we will mend.
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearn'd luck
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long.
Else the Puck a liar call.
So good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.'

'Pete and Flamer on Cryptos'

Christopher 'Flamer' Spry was supposedly based on the artist's son, Peter Hampson, but bears no resemblance to him.Little Peter (on his little trike - as usual) and Flamer Spry on the Rogue Planet Phantos - from the Eagle comic serial 'The Rogue Planet' - originally illustrated by Frank Hampson.
'Flamer' was what Frank called a 'mind drawing'.
Unlike Commander Lex O'Mally, who was also drawn from imagination, and was very realistically and convincingly represented, 'Flamer' was far less successful -
